Ranipuram Hills

Ranipuram Hills

Ranipuram hills is one of the unexplored hill stations in the Kasargod district filled with natural splendor. The hills near Panathady offer the best trekking trails in the district. Elevated at a height of 750 m above sea level, Ranipuram hills are glorious with their dense woods, evergreen grasslands, streams, and dashing varieties of wildlife. The trek to Ranipuram hills via foot is around two and a half kilometers through the forests and meadows.

One can also opt for a jeep safari through the jungles to see the best of the wildlife leaping in the woods. For the astonishing varieties of flora and fauna that the forests and hills possess, it may someday get sealed as a protected area under “Ranipuram Wildlife Sanctuary” to preserve the dwelling wildlife in the woods. It is also a heaven for bird watchers as many varieties of birds are seen flying in and out of the region. With the most charming views of misty clouds, green hills, and evergreen forests, Ranipuram hills are often referred to as “Ooty of Kerala” for their rising resemblance to Ooty Hill Station in Tamil Nadu. A visit to Ranipuram hills is a real mind-blowing experience for nature lovers, trekkers, and bird watchers.
