Meesapuliamala is the second-highest peak in South India at a height of 2640 meters (8661 feet) above sea level. It is one of the best adventurous trekking trails in the whole of Munnar that is enjoyed by nature lovers. It comprises eight separate hills spreading in the shape of a moustache, thus obtaining the name “Meesapulimala ”. The trekking trail to Meesapulimala starts from Silent Valley. There are jeeps arranged for the visitors to travel from Munnar town to Silent Valley passing through the pine forests, sholas, gum trees, tea plantations, etc.
Once reach the Silent Valley, real trekking begins. Forest treks among the lush woods, high ridges of the Western Ghats, and thick sholas give an enormous view of Munnar landscapes. After a few descents and ascents in the pathway, we reach the top of the Meesapulimala peak point, which offers a heavenly experience that is incomparable. The long arrays of stretching valleys, hills, and a tremendous view are hidden within the misty clouds. Meesapulimala Peak Point also offers the best sight of the Kolukkumalai tea estate, the largest tea estate in the whole world expanding
down the hill with grandeur, Anayirangal Dam, and a few greeny villages of Tamil Nadu. The charming view offered by the peak point will remain in your nostalgic memories for a whole lifetime.
After the mesmerizing view, get ready for the next trek down to the Silent Valley. Upon reaching the valley, you can see your jeep waiting around to take you back to Munnar town.
