Kozhikode Beach is a major beach zone, not only in Kozhikode district but in all Kerala, as it was the port where Vasco da Gama, the Portuguese explorer, first set his foot on Indian soils. As a result, opening the Spice Route from our local markets to Arabian, Chinese and European markets. Kozhikode beach has such a history associated with the ancient past of our State. Freedom Square” commemorates the heroic fight and historic movements for freedom and liberation of our nation that was staged here.This project was conceptualized as an integrated solution, which can revitalize the entire stretch of beach as a nodal point from the perspective of public life as well as historical and leisure travelers and the citizens themselves.
