Kauthuka Park

Kauthuka Park, spreading around 1.25 acres of land, is an immaculate recreation of an ecosystem with peaceful coexistence. It is literally a heaven on earth built by Mr Varkey Velliyath. His creative ideas and love for nature were inspired by his father, a farmer who depended heavily on Mother nature all through his lifetime. Within this park, Mr Varkey tried his best to bring together everything that nature has to offer us.

Kauthuka park is situated on the way to Athirapally waterfalls in Chalakudy, Thrissur. The place is filled with nothing less than natural wonders that have the capacity to refresh and refill your minds with joy and peace. This unique garden is dotted with rippling streams, scenic hills, diverting secret caves, rare medicinal plants and trees. Different types of animals and plant species grow in the hills along with diverse fishes in the streams. All exist freely without any restrictions imposed upon them, in harmony with nature.

Apart from the natural inhabitants, Kauthuka park has a huge collection of utensils and agricultural appliances that were used for farming in the bygone era. A tiny hut within the park made of pots and muds always attracts the attention of the visitors. The caves within the park include a classic reconstruction of the Pontiac Cave and Jabal Qara Cave of Saudi Arabia. A visit to Kauthuka park is sure to transport you into a world of natural wonders lined up- one on top of the other. The enchanting and alluring beauty of nature seen in the crystal clear waters of the streams, lush greeneries of the hills and abundant living beings are sure to rejuvenate your mind and soul.
