Koottamundu Glass Temple

Koottamundu Glass Temple located 22 km away from Kalpetta in the slope of Vellarimala, Wayanad, is a very unique Jain temple with its structural marvel. The Jain temple is dedicated to Parshawanatha Swami, the great saint of Jainism. The images of the Swami and Padmini Devi are kept inside the Sanctum. There are numerous shimmering glass pieces arranged in such a way that they reflect the images of the deities in different angles.

It is such a shiny vision to experience. This would certainly be different from the other temples you have visited. The pieces of glass on their twinkly reflections make the whole temple aesthetically beautiful. It is a real paradise for the photographers as the temple provides such a delightful experience. It is a heritage cum pilgrim centre cum glass museum where devotees come in to worship and enjoy the sight of miraculous glass pieces.
