Kumbhavurutty waterfalls are among the most crowd-pulling water attractions in Kerala. It is a part of the Achankovil River situated near the Kerala- Tamil Nadu border. A few kilometres from the waterfalls will help you reach Tamil Nadu. It offers a beautiful and magnificent view of roaring waters falling down from a height of twenty-five meters down to the lap of big and small rocks.
Waterfalls are within the vicinity of the Konni forest area, thus the visitors often get lucky at the sight of wild animals passing by. Another major attraction of the place is the steps. There are steps carved on the rocks that lead the visitors to the top of the rock to enjoy a close vision of the enormous waterfalls. The carving of the steps itself is a magnanimous vision for the eyes as it is beautiful to see simple and shallow steps rising up to the top.
