Kumbhavurutty waterfalls are among the most crowd-pulling water attractions in Kerala. It is a part of the Achankovil River situated near the Kerala- Tamil Nadu border. A few kilometres from the waterfalls will help you reach Tamil Nadu. It offers a beautiful and magnificent view of roaring waters falling down from a height of twenty-five meters down to the lap of big and small rocks.

Kumbhavurutty waterfalls are managed by the Manalar- Kumbhavurutty Vana Samrakshana Samithy. Kerala Forest Department has also started an “Eco-Contact Centre” near the waterfalls. It is a great place to visit while you are at Kollam, it offers trekking opportunities as well. You can trek your way up along the grasslands. A Nature Interaction Centre developed near Kumbhavurutty waterfalls is a great interesting place that kids would love.
