Sarovaram Biopark

Spreading across 200 acres of protected land, Sarovaram Biopark is the first of its kind in Kozhikode district that was established for the protection of mangrove forests and wetlands of Kerala. This government-initiated project is a huge success as the biopark consists of 7 mangrove species and 29 associated species within its premises. Sarovaram Biopark is one among the 27 wetlands of India. This eco-friendly park is located near Kottooly in Kozhikode city. 

The park also has a rich biodiversity of flora and birds, 34 types of birds are seen flying in and around this natural paradise. One can enjoy a lot of fun activities within the biopark such as canal walkway, boating facilities, bird watching, nature walk etc. The whole canal system stretches out 11 km to connect Korapuzha and Kallayi rivers. A musical fountain and an open-air theatre are among the extra gems of the biopark that attracts many tourists. 

The secluded ambience and all-around silence make it popular among the visitors who would like to take a break from the busy schedule for a huge nature gig. There are many who visit Sarovaram Biopark for morning and evening jogs.
