Located at a distance of 25 km from Kanhangad, Kasargod district, Kammadam Sacred Grove Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Kammadam Kavu, is a magical blend of holiness and nature. This wildlife sanctuary is closely connected to the Bhagavathy temple, making it the biggest holy plantation in Kerala. It has a beautiful cover of evergreen forests under which medicinal herbs, orchids and shrubs grow vividly. Fox, snake, bat, monitor lizard, civet etc are some of the animals spotted within the grove. A wide variety of chirping birds and colourful butterflies are part of this sacred grove.
