In earlier times, Nattika beach was exclusively a pristine beauty explored only by the fisher folks in Thrissur. The golden beach with roaring waves and coconut palms gained its fame after the shooting of famous Malayalam cult movie, Cheemen, released in 1965. The film depicted the life story of the fisher community with three magnificent everlasting characters Karuthamma, Pareekutty and Kochumuthalaly. Along with the success of the movie, the tourism near Nattika beach raised up beyond imagination.
Since then Nattika beach tourism took special care in offering attractive activities for the visitors such as backwater cruises, country boat rides, elephant rides, horse rides, cultural programmes etc. A relaxing walk through the beach shores experiencing the warm sands under the bright sun, with water waves washing over your feet is a classic feel that must be enjoyed in reality. Drop by at Nattika beach for a calm and serene evening.
