Snehatheeram beach located at a distance of 30 km away from Thrissur town, in Thalikulam Taluk is a scenic beauty in itself. The word “Snehatheeram” means “love shore”, anybody who visits this beach falls in love with the music of the waves hitting against the shores. Many domestic and international tourists visit the beach, for it is one of the well- maintained beaches in all Kerala looked after by the Tourism Department of the State Government.
There are small benches arranged on the shores within beautiful roof structures, for the adults to sit and relax while kids are running around the beach building sandcastles. Romantic couples can have the most refreshing and lovely walk through the beach, strengthening the bond between them. People of all ages can enjoy the beach unanimously. At times, visitors are entertained with the occasional cultural programmes being performed in the outdoor stage on the beachside. During these special programmes and in other days, Snehatheeram beach is filled with people, after all with its bewitching beauty and spirited breeze from the Arabian sea, it is a crowd puller indeed.
