Veli Tourist Village

The popular ‘Veli beach’ refers to the out-stretched seashore of Veli Tourist village which is typically the land that emerged at the juncture of Veli lake and the Arabian sea. Veli tourist village offers copious picnicking possibilities of serene boating and many more. Visitors can either hire paddle boats to go in circles around the village or explore the beauty of the garden on foot.  

Veli tourist village has a huge green lush garden where the family can cherish a perfect picnic spot. There is a floating bridge that connects the large garden to the Veli seashores. This garden village is further embellished with a children’s park, a floating cafe set by the KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation), shopping stalls, swimming pools, horse rides, games etc. 

The garden filled with vegetations and children’s amusements has a gorgeous collection of stone and grass sculptures created by Kanayi Kunhiraman. Kids love to climb on these beautiful sculptures, along with savouring the pet collections of pigeons and swans, fishes and tortoise in the ponds etc. 

If you are passionate about your photography talents, Veli tourist village is the best spot to try it on. With the beach, lake, stone sculptures, birds etc. they provide a golden chance to try out different types of photography skills. The village is open to the public from 8 AM to 6 PM, with an entry fee of Rs.5. The entrance is a narrow pathway beautifully decorated with charming flowering plants. Veli tourist village and the beach shore will undoubtedly offer the most memorable moments of your lifetime.
