Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls

Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls often mentioned together are among the greatest tourist attractions on Kochi-Munnar National Highway. The place is exactly in between two places, Adimaly in the west and Neriamangalam in the east. Both the waterfalls are fed by the Deviyar river. Cheeyappara waterfalls cascading down from almost seven steps rushes downwards to meet Valara waterfalls and form the inglorious vision for the viewers. 

This chain of waterfalls originated from the Western Ghats is a real treat to the eyes and they can be easily spotted along the highway onto the route to Munnar. It is sure that family or friends would definitely stop near the waterfalls flowing among the lush green surrounding, on their way to Munnar or their way back to their homes. 

Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls are abundant in wildlife with special species of animals and birds being spotted here and there around the region. Keep in mind that these waterfalls cannot be accessed directly, but can only be seen and enjoyed from the roadside. A royal picture of you with the gushing waters as the background is too precious to be missed. The place owing to its natural surroundings is a great place for aspiring photographers, nature lovers and adventurers.
