Wayanad is quite famous for its natural scenic beauty embedded in majestic waterfalls, hilly terrains, plantations and estates. Between the two renowned attractions-Meenmutty and Soochipara waterfalls there lies Kanthanpara waterfalls almost 22 km away from Kalpetta, Wayanad. Although this waterfall is lesser known as compared to the others, it is easily accessible via main roads without long trekking through the dense forests. Kanthanpara waterfalls are cascading down from an altitude of 30 m into the natural pool formed below.
The waterfalls near the road are filled with tea plantations on both sides. The tea leaves spreading across the estate lands fan out an aroma into the air that makes the tourists go nuts over the refreshing fragrance.
